Upon your arrival at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport in Cusco, our driver and Yampu Tours Representatives are ready to escort you to your selected hotel but first you will have a panoramic visit of the whole city of Cusco where you will go for a meditation with an offering to Pachamama, known as 'Mother Earth.

Half day tour through the bohemian neighborhood of San Blas
A tour to stretch your legs. San Blas quarter was originally used as dwellings for the Inca nobles, which built impressive stone constructions at a short distance of what used to be Huacaypata and it is the current place of the Main Square. It is still possible to see the unmistakable rigor of the Inca walls at the base of many constructions. Today the quarter is a conglomerate of charming small cobblestone streets that are very popular among craftspeople, who sell their works on the street. Among its top attractions is the San Blas Church, a temple that houses a pulpit that is a priceless work of art, a wood carving performed by a masterly indigenous woodcarver.

Half day tour to Cusco with visit to Sacsayhuaman, Quenqo, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay
You will start the tour at the Sacsayhuamán fortress, one of the emblematic Inca constructions (located a few minutes away from the built-up area), built by Inca Pachacútec in the 15th century. It is a huge fortress made of very large stones, and the manner in which they were transported and cut is still a mystery. The Inti Raymi Festival, which worships the Sun, is reenacted on June 24 of each year, during the winter solstice.
You will then go to Qenqo, located four kilometers away from Cusco city, which is a mainly religious archaeological complex where it is believed that propitiatory agricultural rituals were carried out. You will continue to Puka Pukara, located seven kilometers away from Cusco. Puka Pukara, which means red fortress, was an architectural complex presumably used for military purposes; it has many rooms, squares, bathrooms, aqueducts, walls and towers, and it is believed that the Incas entourage used it while he rested at Tambomachay.
Next, you will explore the fountains of Tambomachay, a construction that has fine stone finishings and high command of hydraulic engineering, with aqueducts that continue supplying clear water to this place. This archaeological complex is located eight kilometers away from Cusco City. Also known as the Inca Bath, Tambomachay was probably the leisure place for the Inca and his entourage.
The construction seems to have a special interest in water, which it worshipped, and fine aqueducts fed on groundwater aquifers and neighboring hot springs.
The Cusco Tourist Ticket (BTC), included in the itinerary, is a personal and non-transferable document that provides access to 16 important attractions in Cusco and its surroundings, such as Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. It also allows entry to various sites in the Sacred Valley Circuit, including Ollantaytambo, Pisac, Moray, and Chinchero.
Experience a traditional andean ritual to the Mother Earth, carried out by a local shaman. The indigeneous communities keep alive this ancient ceremony to honour the Pachamama and express their genuine gratitude for the benefites they have received from her. Share this unique and unforgettable experience, while you think about your most desired wishes.

Optional Tours:
Option 1: Full day hike to Palcoyo mountain
The adventure begins with your transfer from your hotel to the starting point of the hike to the impressive coloured mountain range of Palcoyo. Like the 7-colour mountain of Vinicunca, Palcoyo acquires this colouration due to minerals such as iron, magnesium, calcium, among others, accumulated over millions of years and that nowadays offer a visual spectacle. Unlike Vinicunca, getting to the top of the Palcoyo mountain range is of a moderate level and very accessible since it is a 2-hour walk without significant slopes, reaching a maximum elevation of 4,900 meters above sea level. Upon arrival, enjoy the beautiful view of the mountain range and take some minutes to calmly appreciate the surroundings thanks to the little flow of visitors in the area in comparison with the Vinicunca Mountain. This experience is carried following the established routes and regulations for its conservation, collaborating with the sustainability of this natural wonder.
---------
Option 2: Private full-day hike to Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain)
Vinicunca, also known as Rainbow Mountain, is a natural wonder located 5,200 meters above sea level. The tour departs early in the morning from Cusco and goes towards Cusipata, where breakfast will be served. Continue the journey to the starting point of the excursion to Rainbow Mountain, enjoying beautiful landscapes such as the Ausangate Mountain, one of the most prominent in Cusco. Later, there will be a stop at the mountain viewpoint to take photos and rest. The return trek heads towards Phullawasipata before taking the bus back to Cusipata for lunch. Finally, return to your selected hotel in Cusco.*Please note that due to the shared nature of this service, the pickup window is 30 minutes from the scheduled start time.

Machu Picchu
Recently, following UNESCO recommendations, Peruvian authorities have placed restrictions on the visitation of Machu Picchu, the lost Incan ruins. Currently, no more than 2,500 people daily will be allowed to visit the ruins. While these new restrictions are great for the preservation of the ruins, they may cause some difficulties in your ability to visit them, so we recommend booking with plenty of notice.

beyond my expectation. Super awesome, everything!!! This is my first visiting in South America, so is my friend. For 2 ladies customized trip, we are exciting and kind of worried. Karolina is so experienced and helped us to design the whole itinerary and remotely assisted us when we started our tour in Peru. That is a Wonderful trip in Peru. Any last minute change will follow a super good compensation. We’re touched about the gift placing on my last day hotel table, they are 2 framed pictures for both my friend and me. All details are considered, we never worried about being alone, cuz that never happens during the whole trip. It is vital for English speakers in an Espanol speaking country.
