Tour Overview

Undergo trekking as you visit the Andes, Patagonia, and the Lake District. Walk through, boat under, get close to the impressive natural wonder of Iguazu Falls.  Experience tango and dine with Gauchos in Buenos Aires.  Visit the pristine mountains and lakes of Argentina’s Lake Region.  Explore the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier up close by trekking on it or boating next to it.  Finally visit the town of Chalten, a hiker’s paradise, and see the stunning Fitz Roy Mountains.

Buenos Aires has managed to preserve old traditions and charming corners. The fascinating atmosphere, the unique and diverse neighborhoods, the cordial people provides everyone a unique city adventure. Buenos Aires seems to bring the splendid countryside surrounding it into its cosmopolitan doorway. The Plaza de Mayo is the hub of activity in the city.  The nearby Avenida 9 de Julio is popularly known as the world’s widest avenue. Palermo houses the world’s most fashionable boutiques.

The Iguazu Falls is 3 miles long, the largest in the Americas.  The falls are surrounded by an amazing wildlife preserve in the middle of the jungle. The deep flowing waters of the river fall from a height of thirty feet through almost three hundred falls.

San Carlos de Bariloche has the volcanoes and lakes in all their splendor with the magnificent Andes towering behind them. In many ways it resembles European alpine resorts. From here we will take a cruise on the Nahuel Huapi and Frias Lake with amazing views of the lakes and mountains that make Bariloche a famous destination.

The magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier in Calafate is a true ice river 60kms long that drops down to Lake Argentina. It is one of only three Patagonian glaciers that are not retreating. We will also explore the Lago Argentino and the Estancia Cristina to see the breathtaking Upsala Glacier, 30km wide and the largest in the Patagonia. You will see icebergs larger than your house. This adventure will be completed with an excursion to the spectacular mountain scenery, sub-Antartica glaciers and forests of Chalten. Spend your last day hiking the famous Mount Fitz Roy trails to the Laguna de los Tres and Tower Lagoon.

Perito Moreno Glacier

A visit to Parque Nacional Los Glaciares is a must for any trip to Argentina and there is no doubt that the Perito Moreno Glacier is the most beautiful in the area. It originates at the Continental Ice field and descends through colossal mountains, to penetrate into the waters of Argentino Lake. This unique landscape is framed by the greenest of forests, and the most colorful flowers. This exclusive glacier excursion will allow one to devote all the time one wants to explore this incredible place. Leave El Calafate and after a 50-mile (80km) drive will arrive at the eastern side of Magallanes Peninsula, where there are excellent vantage points. Walk along the tracks, with many photo opportunities along the way, where one can clearly see huge ice blocks detach from the glacier and fall into the water, causing a tremendous sound and amazing waves. A truly magnificent sight.

We really enjoyed all the hotels and the tours you recommended!

Thanks for checking in. We had an excellent time in Chile and Argentina. Everything worked out perfectly. It was very comforting to have someone meet us in each city and facilitate our tours, while allowing us plenty of time on our own. All of the transfers and pick-ups were perfectly on time and were with very kind and helpful guides and drivers. Our only problem was in Chicago on our way home when our flight was cancelled, but there was really nothing anyone could do at that point. Otherwise everything was great! We really enjoyed all the hotels and the tours you recommended and look forward to working with you again in the future. Thanks again!

I had a fantastic time

Here is my feedback and my overall impressions of the trip. I had a fantastic time! Everything was very well planned (that includes excursions, transfers, accommodation, and reservations), I enjoyed the right amount of assistance and privacy at the same time. The tango show was amazing and thanks for suggesting it; the Perito Moreno glacier was impressive; Tierra del Fuego Park beautiful- half day tour was exactly what we wanted. In Mendoza, wine tour was interesting and the wineries were beautiful and very different from each other (good to have variety). The Aconcagua excursion was worthy. Although 2-3 h drive to get there, the scenery is beautiful with lots of fresh air.
