Sales Support  Assistant – Administrative  Yampu Tours

Yampu Tours is looking to fill the position for Sales Support Assistant to join the LA team! Our ideal candidate will have traveled to at least two of our destinations, have the drive to succeed and will be ready to work in a professional environment. You will learn how to create custom itineraries and use our specialized tour operator software to its highest potential. This is a full time, entry level position that is perfect for someone looking to begin their career in the travel industry.

Once training is complete you will work closely with the Tour Consultants where you will learn from their expertise and begin to design itineraries for our clients. There is an opportunity to apply for a sales position after full training.

 

Job Duties: 
Maintain high levels of organization in Peak 15, Outlook and Microsoft Planner
Assist Tour Consultants in creating itineraries using Peak 15 software

Manage the client database

Process Tour Consultants bookings – quality control for names, rosters, flights

Assist with bookings and maintain the files with up to date details Answer incoming calls in a professional manner

Confirm required services with third-party suppliers

Review supplier invoices to make sure they match what was offered to client

Assist with financial aspects of bookings according to company guidelines

Meet or exceed established Yampu Service standards

Collaborate with appropriate departments to coordinate all client documents

Rotate 24-hour emergency phone with other Sales Support Assistants

 

Qualifications/Abilities: 

Relevant travel and admin experience ideal – must be able to show enthusiasm for travel and ideally have traveled to at least two of our destinations
Associates degree or higher preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to quickly master new computer systems
Customer service skills
Results focused
Good time management skills and attention to detail
Excellent writing skills
Excellent teamwork skills in keeping with company ethos and standards
