Places You'll See

  • jerusalem

    Jerusalem

Jerusalem is the capital and largest city of Israel. Being one of the oldest cities in the world, historic roots of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam can be found in Jerusalem and is referred to as a Holy City for each of those religions. Although there are many old sections of the city, there is still a modern feel to parts of the city.

  • bethlehem

    Bethlehem

Bethlehem is thought to be the birth place of Jesus. It has been referred to as “little town of Bethlehem” and is today a small city. Only 6 miles south of Jerusalem, Israel, Bethlehem is part of the West Bank. The city is home to one of the oldest churches in the world, the Church of the Nativity. Bethlehem is also thought to be the birthplace of David, the King of Israel. Currently the city is now home to one of the largest Arab Christian communities in the region.

  • jericho

    Jericho

Jericho is one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world. The city is also home to one of the oldest protective walls in the world. There are many archaeological sites throughout the city where more than twenty different settlements in Jericho have been discovered dating back to over 11,000 years ago. Today the city is in Palestinian Territories and is one of the areas largest tourist destinations.

  • dead-sea

    Dead Sea

The Dead Sea is shared by Israel, Palestine, and Jordan. At 1269 ft below sea level, the Dead Sea is the lowest point in the world. The water is so salty that no maritime life can survive in its waters. The mineral rich mud on its shores is thought to have therapeutic benefits. Many visitors enjoy floating in the water, as it is almost impossible to sink because of the hypersalination.

  • tel-aviv-skyline

    Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv is one of the three main cities of Israel. Located on the Mediterranean coast of Israel, Tel Aviv has many beautiful beaches. Although it is a modern city, there are many museums that focus on the rich history of the region.
