Tour Overview

Explore one of China’s greatest relics with Yampu’s Great Wall Trekking Exploration! Often referred to as the Earth Dragon due to its geographic formation sweeping the crests along the Chinese landscape , The Great Wall is the epitome of China’s saturated history and culture. More than just a single structure, the Great Wall in fact consists of many separate sections, from the most tourist parts to sections known as the ‘Wild Great Wall’ that offer un-spoilt vistas and excellent hiking. Take the chance to climb those less visited parts of the Wall and by taking one’s own time to hike and live along its length, what better way to get to grips with this symbol of China?

Arrive in Beijing, the capital city of China, and be met by a local guide and transfer to the hotel. The first full day in China, enjoy the city of Beijing. Walk Tian’anmen Square to the Forbidden City. Next, explore the city’s traditional neighborhoods and the narrow alleys in old Beijing. Get up early the next day and join the locals for morning exercises in the Temple of Heaven Park. That afternoon, drive to Huanghuacheng and start the Great Wall exploration!

During this exciting, week long adventure, pass through local villages to learn about the people and how the wall is famous for its strong military function. Stop by Eastern Qing Tombs, among the finest and largest extant Mausoleum complexes in China. Visit one of the biggest and most elaborate tombs. After a relaxing morning, head back to Beijing city. En route, visit the Summer Palace. It is now open as a public park and is one of the most impressive places to visit in Beijing. The focus of the Summer Palace is a huge lake with a long walkway circling it. Once in Beijing, transfer to the hotel to rest up before the transfer to the airport to catch the flight home.

An incredible time……

WOW!!!…..

Just had Evelyn on the phone for over an hour and they had an incredible time……

“Very impressed with China and learned a lot! We loved our experience in Tibet. The people are lovely and scenery magnificent. We had very accommodating and thoughtful guides. Very helpful.”

Flights in China were great and no delays, hotels were awesome, guides were wonderful, tours were perfect and even the train worked out. The 8th person on the train was a young Tibetan woman and they felt safe with her in the compartment.

Once again, a total success and very happy clients….
