Sanctuary Makanyane is located in the beautiful Madikwe Game Reserve. Placed in the northeast corner of South Africa this 750 square kilometer National Park is home to the “big 5”, several wild dog packs, and over 300 species of birds. This park is much less crowded than others in South Africa and Makanyane also gives guests the exclusivity of private land. The lodge is located on a private plot of 18 square kilometers well within the malaria free zone. The lodge itself is beautifully built and only houses 16 guests at a time giving each person the utmost attention to detail.
