“Oh my gosh! We had so much fun. We absolutely loved our accommodations in Matera, Alberobello and Taormina. They were all fabulous and so different.

Matera was like a dream and was stunning with such rich history. My big mistake was trying to pack too much in on our transfer day from Matera to Alberobello. A longer stop in Ostuni and forgoing Cisternino and Locorotondo would have been better but we all loved Locorotondo. Alberobello was amazing and so different from anything I have ever seen in Italy. Our tour guide for Ostuni and Arbelobello, Martza, was terrific and had some fun stories of growing up in Arbelobello.

Sicily was fabulous and our resort was first rate all the way!! Our tour guide, Lilly, and our driver, Marco, were great. I really like continuity when traveling. The two wine tours were a blast and the food was so good too. Loved Taormina and Castelmola. The day trip to Catamia was fun, but we packed too much in that day too. I just don’t know what I would have left out because everything was awesome.

My favorite day was definitely the private Sicilian cooking class in Taormina. The villa, host, cook and food were wonderful. We were so glad we missed Mt Etna’s explosion by 1 day! She was spewing steam, but everybody said the volcano scientists didn’t note any changes. Big mistake .
