The world’s mountains can be a place of imagination and adventure for any level of traveler.  Whether you’re looking to go on a short day hike in Torres del Paine or spend 4 grueling (but spectacular) days on the Inca Trail, there is sure to be an option for you.  Trekking can be the most rewarding form of travel because of the long hours spent trying to reach the landmarks of the world.

We at Yampu have a lot of experience hiking peaks throughout the world and seeing things that some travelers never get the chance to.  Follow along as we take you on a tour of the world through the eyes of a hiker.

Ausangate Mountain in Peru is a gorgeous spectacle of peaks and valleys that can lead to some spectacular views.  This picture truly captures the essence of a hiker making his way towards the top.

Machu Picchu Mountain is different route around the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu.  Many hikers choose to take a direct route but miss out on this unbelievable view.  While it takes a little longer to get to the top we definitely think it is worth it!

Torres del Paine can be translated to mean Towers of Blue in the native language of the people who discovered this natural treasure.  It is tough hike to get up to this spot but there aren’t many views that are better.

Nepal is home to the biggest mountains on the entire planet including the famous Mount Everest.  While smaller in comparison, Annapurna I is just as impressive.  Standing at over 8,000 meters tall this is the 10th tallest mountain on the planet and is part of a collection of over 30 peaks higher than 6,000 meters.

Torres del Paine will always be one of the most exciting hiking regions in the world because of the never ending possibilities.  Here, several hikers make their way across the greenery of Patagonia while Los Cuernos looms in the background.

As a bonus this week, we got to go through the pictures our Marketing Manager @lpespey took on her recent trip to Colombia.  She saw some unbelievable street art while she was in Bogota and we couldn’t wait to share it!
