A New Luxury Hotel in Arequipa Welcomes Visitors this Fall!
From the founders of many Yampu favored accommodations in Peru comes another iconic experiential hotel, Cirqa Parador en Arequipa. A play on the word “Circa” meaning a specific date in time, Cirqa transports you to a time of the past.
Located in the historic center of Arequipa, Cirqa was once a wing of the reputable San Agustin church that was built shortly after the city’s founding in 1540. The hotel’s conception was heavily inspired by the building’s original concept of a traditional Parador where the monks of Church Augustin would host travelers with both a place to stay and delightful cuisine served with outstanding hospitality.
The city of Arequipa takes visitors back in time with a blend of European and native characteristics. With Cirqa and many of its other buildings being built out of sillar, a white volcanic stone gathered from the 3 volcanoes framing the city, it was given the nickname the “White City.” The colonial gem has a beautiful year-round climate, perfect for meandering the quaint cobblestone streets and savoring the gastronomic centered culture.
Keeping the building’s beloved Arequipenean architectural glory, Cirqa’s interior is lined with sophisticated furniture throughout its eleven rooms along with inconspicuously placed modern amenities. With all rooms centered around two outdoor lounges, guests can appreciate Arequipa’s favorable weather.
As Arequipenean tradition dictates, good food is fundamental. Travelers can choose to sample homegrown dishes in several eating areas, including a delightful rooftop restaurant with outstanding views accompanied by an organic garden. Along with the delectable dining experiences, travelers can embark on a myriad of half and full-day excursions, such as city tours and numerous outdoor activities such as hiking and rafting.
Designed by the same creative team behind Titilaka, Hotel B and Atemporal, Cirqa is an expansion of the renowned Titilaka Lodge with the same level of services and facilities. Our tour consultants suggest combining two spectacular Peruvian destinations by including Cirqa and Titilaka for a uniquely remarkable experience.
